Rhodes Faliraki

Rhodes Faliraki was born in the 1920s in the south of Greece, the son of a former Greek Orthodox priest who lived in Rhodes. The family had a reputation for a great deal of hospitality and philanthropy, and Faliraki grew up thinking that he would be a priest one day and a physician another.

He did not end up becoming a priest, but instead went on to earn an MBA from the University of Rhodes and then a Doctorate from Oxford University. In his spare time Faliraki became a writer and published books about spirituality. As he began to write more of these books, he found himself attracted to philosophies like that of Buddhism, which had an important role to play in the development of modern Western philosophy.

It was only later when Faliraki began to seriously investigate Buddhist ideas that he became truly intrigued by them. After doing so, he started to explore Buddhism in greater depth.

Buddhism is a religion with a lot of different teachings and views on life. In Buddhism there is one ultimate principle, which is called "Nirvana", the highest state of being. It also teaches that one will become enlightened through the path of "Nirvana". In a nutshell, what that means is that when you have reached Nirvana, you will be free of all the suffering and sorrows of life and enjoy true happiness and bliss.

For most people, it seems that Buddhism will be a very spiritual concept. It does have its roots in Zen, and there is a feeling of serenity that follows the process of enlightenment. However, Faliraki did not become a Buddhist. He actually did study the teachings of Buddhism, but he was very interested in Eastern thought and didn't become a follower of the faith.

When he got back home to Greece, however, he wanted to learn more about Buddhism, so he travelled to India to find out more about the founder of the religion, Buddha. At the time, there were no temples in Rhodes, so Faliraki was unable to see the actual Buddha, but he was able to visit the places where Buddha's teachings had been recorded in the past. This helped him understand much better what Buddhism meant to him.

When he returned to Rhodes, however, it was not long before he had found another way to explain his journey to those who were not aware of his interest in Buddhism. He found a book written by Dr. Khen Rinpoche, the famous Tibetan leader, who was also a Buddhist scholar. The book was written in a highly technical and lucid style, and it is one of the most respected works on Buddhism in Europe. It was the perfect piece of literature for Faliraki.

To this day, anyone who has studied Buddhism will still learn a lot from Faliraki. If you want to get into a deeper understanding of this ancient philosophy, I recommend taking a course or enrolling in a class with him. The benefit that such a class can give you will be immeasurable. It will give you insight into the true nature of Buddhist teachings and help you fully comprehend the philosophy itself.
